Another Dem Victory?
The Senate voted down proposed legislation to defund Iraq military operations within 120 days. Sen. Feingold’s (that name sounds familar) bill lost 67 to 29. Sen. Barack and Sen. Clinton voted with the 29. Four Senators did not vote. Sen. Johnson is still recovering from his brain hemorage, so he’s excused. Wonder who the other three non-voting Senators are? Do they possess valid excuses or just lack intestinal fortitude What is really amazing is that Sen. Biden and Sen. Reid wanted to spin the vote on this bill as a “win”. FYI – - 67 to 29 is not a win! It is not even progress. It made the news, but it accomplished nothing. It was just a further waste of time.
When is this 110th Congress going to get some legislation passed and signed? This afterall is their primary responsibility to the American voters. At least that was what we were told when the GOP was in the leadership. The Dem leadership is not distinguishing itself from the past failed GOP leadership.
