Either Or
The politics in Congress is always a little hard to divine.
For instance, the 110th Congressional Leadership decided to include minimum wage in the legislation for the 4 month Iraq supplemental, recently passed by Congress and signed by the President. Either the leadership was desperate to get something from the “Six for 06 Agenda” knowing the supplemental funding for Iraq was going to pass OR the minimum wage was included to provide political cover for those who may want to void their support for the supplemental funding in the future by enabling them to say, “I voted for the minimum wage increase”.
No wonder Cindy Sheehan decided to leave the Dems to themselves. Either the Dems have no principle or they have no principle.
